  REPORTS TO: President/CEO

  DEPARTMENT: 100 Sales

  STATUS: Full Time

  EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Exempt (Executive)

  TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50% (Domestic and International)

  DIRECT REPORTS: Architectural Sales Team

 

 

Nature and Scope:

MetalForming LLC. is the North American leader for importing metal fabrication technology. The company sells and services high quality metal folders, shears, roll formers, coil processing and slitting solutions from the most respected manufacturers around the globe.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Create and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Participate with staff executives to develop overall business strategy
  • Set and monitor departmental KPIs
  • Anticipate and react to trends and changes in the market
  • Develop and manage department budget
  • Participate in product development and new product introduction
  • Foster relationships with overseas suppliers

Leadership

  • Direct and manage architectural sales department employees including hiring, supervising, coaching, and developing
  • Develop, implement, and manage to performance standards
  • Develop and oversee training programs and ensure sales employees have necessary skills
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness of the sales organization to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Primary senior management relationships with Architectural machine suppliers

Sales

  • Assist team with complex sales negotiations, presentations, and closings
  • Manage high-profile accounts and relationships
  • Oversee sales proposals, quoting, and RFPs
  • Partner with marketing to develop lead and revenue generation programs
  • Drive the adoption of sales technology throughout the organization
  • Develop, document, and enforce sales policies, SOPs, and best practices
  • Attend trade shows and other industry events
  • Leverage CRM to manage the pre / post sales process

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience in selling capital goods
  • Bachelor’s degree with a technical and/or business concentration. MBA a plus
  • Industry experience preferred in metals, metals fabrication, architectural folding/press brakes, architectural roll forming, and coil processing

 

Other Special Skills/Certifications/Abilities:

  • Demonstrable leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning and execution, and employee motivation techniques
  • Ability to successfully manage both vertically and horizontally across departments to drive execution
  • Industry knowledge and existing industry contacts at senior level positions a plus
