Our History
Geoff Stone partners with German manufacturer RAS to distribute metal folding machines in North America.
Stone starts MetalForming, LLC. which begins as the North American distributor for JORNS long folders.

SCHECHTL, a leading supplier to the roofing industry worldwide, approaches MetalForming to become their North American distributor.

MetalForming becomes North American distributor for SCHLEBACH, Europe’s leading manufacturer of portable rollforming machines. SCHLEBACH rollformers quickly become the category sales leader in MetalForming’s territory.

German Precision folder maker FASTI approaches MetalForming to represent them in North America, and MetalForming begins selling precision folding machines.
MetalForming’ new headquarters building is constructed in Peachtree City. Annual sales reach 400 machines per year.
In December, MetalForming reaches a milestone – 3,000 machines sold to date. Customers are in nearly every state in the US. and all provinces of Canada.
MetalForming partners with KRASSER, makers of the most advanced slitting, shearing and coil handling systems in the world.

MetalForming’s Peachtree City facility is expanded to increase showroom and service capacity.
Looking to improve customer service and factory efficiency, MetalForming begins forming technology development partnerships including with Microsoft and Georgia Tech. Collaborative work leads to OnLink™ (remote machine diagnostic), TrimSpec™ (mobile machine programming), and CIRM™ (Computer Integrated Roof Manufacturing).
MetalForming partners with SCHROEDER, taking precision folding technology to new levels of productivity, capability and flexibility.

Third building constructed at Peachtree City location, doubling showroom space to accommodate the large Schroeder machines.
Executing on more than five years of R&D with Georgia Tech, two new business ventures are initiated to bring video-based automated measurement innovations to market. Vantedgepoint becomes a division of MetalForming to bring automated measurement to the roofing industry and Pointivo is created to bring the breakthrough application to other measurement-dependent markets.
MetalForming adds the Caribbean, South and Central America to its coverage.
MetalForming adds BOECKELT TOWER to its product line, providing the most advanced automated tower sheet storage system in the world.

MetalForming and SCHECHTL launch the new MAX-I and MAX-F product lines, significant advances in the speed and flexibility of architectural folders.
