Title:  Inside Sales Representative

Reports To:  The Inside Sales position will report directly to the Vice President of Architectural Sales

Location:  Peachtree City, GA

Job Overview: Basic functions:

Looking for a talented and competitive Inside Sales Representative that thrives in a high paced sales environment.  This position will be a part of the Architectural Sales Group.  The position will support sales from the office setting.  In time, the position is a pathway to outside sales.

Travel required:   5% – 10% annually

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Support Outside Architectural sales team members – order processing, order follow through, order tracking
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Team with Outsides Sales Reps to build pipeline and close deals
  • Understand customer needs and requirements working to provide solutions and ensure a smooth sales process
  • Work with internal departments and/or machine manufacturers to rectify customer situations
  • Work to find new sales leads through internal channels, client referrals, industry directories
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Answer lead inquiries
  • Become an expert in the manufacturers Metalforming represents
  • Team with product manufacturers to strengthen relationship and close deals
  • Maintain and expand customer database

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Background in Industrial Technology/Capital Equipment or similar. Machine tool experience is preferred.  Must be friendly, well-spoken, and possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Strong phone presence
  • Experience working with Microsoft products: Microsoft CRM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Proficient with web presentation tools
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Excellent follow up and follow through skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Physical Context/Work Environment:

Work is conducted in an office with periodic visits to manufacturing facilities.
