Financial Analyst Job Description

  TITLE:  Financial Analyst 

  REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: CFO

  DEPARTMENT: 400 Accounting

  LOCATION: Peachtree City, GA

  TRAVEL REQUIRED: None

  SUPERVISION OF OTHERS: None

 

This position assists the accounting department as required to deliver a delightful and effortless customer experience.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the annual budgeting process.
  • Identify cost savings across all lines of the business.
  • Develop meaningful KPI’s and reporting metrics.
  • Work with Operations to manage inventory levels.
  • Work with Operations to develop a cycle count process.
  • Assist CFO with multiple process improvements across the organization.
  • Work with the GP consultant to produce better reporting from the ERP system.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly margin analysis.
  • Develop margin reports by customer, channel, sales manager, and salesperson.
  • Update cash flow forecast weekly looking ahead two months out.
  • Develop separate financial statements for the refurbishment business.
  • Look for ways to automate processes.
  • Assist with sales tax reporting and filing.
  • Ad hoc projects, reporting, and analysis as directed by the CFO.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Five plus years of accounting experience.
  • Excellent MS Office 365 experience including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains ERP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills to interact positively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic who can work independently to analyze and solve problems.
  • Strong accounting and finance experience, including financial statements and analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial controls and processes.
