Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Key executive figure at strategic and key accounts.
- Ability to present and detail the core value proposition for the organization.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control architectural sales program.
- Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
- Directs business development actiivites and potential line extensions.
- Advises dealers and distributors concerning sales and advertising techniques.
- Assigns sales territory to architectural sales team.
- Supplier relationships with a focus on influencing product development roadmaps.
- Work cross functionally to accomplish programs, projects, or actions to support the customer needs.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally.
- Look for process and approach to optimize the sales process and overall customer support.
- Manage the sales team use of CRM system.
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales team.
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales team with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
- Key influencer of marketing strategies and approach.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Approve sales team expense reports monthly.
- Assists other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Interpretes sales reporting to evaluate intitiatives, programs, and strategic approach..
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Master's degree preferred.
- Preference for mechanical/electrical technical degree or eight to twelve years of related experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in machinery sales or the roofing/metal components/precision fabricating industry or equivalent experience.
- Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
- Ability to optimize both Customer Relationship Management and Pricing Tools.
